I am thankful

I am thankful for silly little boys that stand in buckets. I am thankful for a beautiful, healthy son, a strong and supportive husband, 2 snuggly (though mischievous) dogs, family and friends to lean on and help hold up, a job that some days is rewarding, a house that keeps us warm, and more worldly possessions than anyone needs. I am thankful.

We’re riding off into the sunset…Well, we are actually heading NE to the UP. Luckily, we are taking the minivan, because I don’t think horses come equipped with satellite radio.
The van is packed, and Jason, Ben, Scout and Rossi are inside. They are on their way to pick me up. Don’t fret, as I have some posts planned for you while we are gone, and when we return there are sure to be tons of pictures of Ben and his extended family.

Our first snow of the season has arrived and turned me into a crab apple. Like always, they hyped the “big storm” and predicted 4-6 inches. We got 1 useless inch. It is our first snow, and I am already sick of bundling up, bundling Ben up, scraping off the car (which Jason actually did), warming up the car (Jason again), blow drying my hair, all for 1 inch of snow, and bad roads made worse by bad drivers. I am officially sick of winter! (See I told you I was being a crab apple.)
Three good things to even out the karma:
1) I’m wearing new pants today that are so comfortable, not to mention cute.
2) I haven’t gotten a call to pick up Ben early due to sickness (yet?).
3) I’m going to make myself scrapbook tonight to help fight the crab.
Finally, these shots of Ben last night make me smile, and I hope they do the same for you.
