Ben’s newest trick

Ben has figured out how to climb on the coffee table. Better yet, he does it with a “stop me if you dare” attitude. Don’t worry, Jason is standing just out of sight, and we started discouraging the behavior as soon as we got done with the pictures.

The latest on midgey

Benny has discovered the joy of dips. Whether it is hotdogs and ketchup, cookies and milk, or even green beans into spagetti-o’s. The boy must dip.
The dip phase
Ben has been LOVING his rocking horse. He drags it out from the corner to play with it. He can sometimes even climb on it himself. Once, he stood up on the seat, but the little surfer seemed startled that it rocked.
Not what is meant by bareback
Life with the midget isn’t all smiles. In fact, his meltdowns are increasingly frequent. It is hard having the WORLD’S MEANEST PARENTS EVER!

One more thing…

January 27, 2006 | Filed Under General | 2 Comments

…to add to my list of oddities from a few days back. I really like the smell of dog feet. I can be found at least once a day with a Scout paw stuck to my nose. They have a strange salty smell, kinda like Fritos maybe? Jason finds me freakish, and I’d have to agree that it is a little …um…odd. The really scary part is that I think dogs sweat through their feet, so I am really huffin’ dog sweat. AND LIKING IT. Ok, maybe more than a little odd.

PS: The “nervous dog smell” as it is called in our house, I do not enjoy, although it has a similar bouquet.

–Update– Just for fun I googled “dog feet fritos” and learned that I am not alone. Lots of people think dog feet smell like fritos (and some like it). Maybe I’m not so odd after all. Thank you Internet for validating me.
