Diet time

The other night after dinner, Ben said “Mommy, your belly is really full. Do you have a baby in there again?” I responded by asking him if he would like another baby. “Yup,” he answered. I figure he can’t mind Sammy too much if he wants another baby. (How’s that for finding the silver lining?)

PS: I’m not really planning to diet. I’m still eating for 2 after all…at least, that’s what I keep telling myself!

Saturday night fever

It all started with a debate about song lyrics and ended with several hours of music and dancing in our kitchen. Yes, this is how we (parents of 2!) spend our Saturday nights.
Babies can’t dance
It is actually many short clips put together into over 2 minutes of video. I just couldn’t cut anymore, proving my Momminess.

While the camera was out, Sammy’s smiles and coos starred in his own film: Sammy

The mouths of babes

As we set out last night for dinner and playtime with friends, we bundled Ben in all his winter gear. Grabbing his gnomey hat, Jason told him he was going to wear his cool hat. Ben replied “Yeah, it’s pretty cool. It’s got this on top (fingering the point)…It’s kinda like a penis.” I immediately shot daggers at Jason, assuming he had planted this idea. Alas, I was wrong. Benny came up with this comparison all on his own. Luckily, he didn’t share it with his friends later. What are we going to do with this kid???

PS: In his gnomey hat picture, it has been asserted that he was unhappy. Actually, he was just staring out the window in a trance-like state, and I took advantage of this rare episode of non-movement to take the picture. Apparently, that is what an Eagle looks like when he’s thinking. Who knew?
