there was a weekend

I know it is already Wednesday now, and this still needs to be short and sweet. Rod, Laurie, Grandpa Ned, and Grandma Toini visited over the weekend. We had a great time and good food. The kids loved spending time with their grandparents and great grandparents, and I think they liked the kids too. Great grandma had a knack for putting Sammers to sleep. Poor kiddo got vacs on Friday and had a cold (which he shared with me) all weekend, so he wasn’t feeling himself. I’ll post about his Friday 4 month appointment soon.
To get a full story on the weekend, see the pics on flickr. A picture is worth a thousand words, you know.

Sammy is 4 months old today. With the chicken pox, it was a rough month for our little guy, but he is back on track. Our little piggie is unofficially 17 pounds and change, 26.5 inches tall, wearing 6-9 month clothes, size 3 diapers, and is eating between 15-20 ounces a day at daycare.

working from home and missing daddy

Daycare finally caught up with me. Benny had to stay home today. Once again, I was working from home.

Cartoons were the saving grace today. Do you know how many times Dora is on in a day? We may have exceeded our 20-60 minute rule. The nice part of working from home today was that I occasionally got to look across the table to see this:

or across the room to see this:

Less than 48 hours until Jason returns. We are all missing him. Benny was very concerned this morning because I didn’t have anyone to drink coffee with
I don’t know where he gets it (sarcasm), but Ben likes to know the plan. “What are we going to do after nap?” “What are we going to do after that?” etc. Today, I told him that after the current cartoon, he needed to get dressed. We would then pick up Sammy, go to the grocery store, and have pizza for dinner. At each step he would ask, is daddy coming with us? with daddy? and then daddy will be home? Each time I had to remind him that daddy was far away at work in New York. Yes, we are all definitely missing him.
After the grocery store, Sammy fell asleep in his car seat. I haven’t had the heart to wake him up. How can you wake up this little squishy face?

final cuteness, wee little baby hands
