Stud and other random junk

Last night, Ben whispered to Jason, “I’m a stud.” Laughing, Jason asked him where he heard that, to which Ben replied that a young teacher at school told him. The rest of the night he walked around saying “I’m a stud.”
Day 2 of crying it out. 20 minutes and Sammers appears to be asleep. Could it be?
Finally watching the Strangers with Candy movie-yippee.
Heard some good news today-yippee times 2.
Finally, uploaded some random pictures tonight to get them into my July album…

Cry it out
July 30, 2008 | Filed Under Sammy | 1 Comment
Last night, we put Sammy in his crib and let him cry. And cry. And cry. And cry. As you can imagine, I shed a few tears too. Eventually, he fell asleep and slept until 5:30! At 5:30, I nursed him and put him back into his crib. He only squeaked a few times and then slept until 7:30.
“What about Ben?” you ask. Ben got a special treat and slept with Mommy and Daddy. We thought it would allow him to sleep without his new roomie keeping him awake. Of course, he was so geeked that he ended up staying awake until about the same time that Sammy finally gave up.
I don’t feel strong enough to do it again tonight, but I will (with Jason’s help). Hopefully, in a few days there will be no kids in our bed…whatever will we do with ourselves…
Still alive

Still alive around here. There’s been some sickness, some more yardwork, and lots of work-work. There have also been some pictures. Here’s a couple from last week…hope to have time to post more soon:
Fair days

Last week was the county fair, so Thursday evening we walked over for the evening.

We wandered through the animal barns, and Ben got to pet the bunnies and feed the goats.

He was asking to ride some of the rides, so we cashed in his college funds for a few tickets. Jason was pumped to see that Ben was tall enough to ride the Sizzler. I was filled with dread. Sure, he says he wants to ride it, but how long will it be until he is screaming in terror? I guessed these pictures would be a “when good parents go bad” post. I was wrong. He smiled and “waa-hooed” throughout the ride.

After the Sizzler, he wanted some milder experiences, especially those involving trucks. We obliged.

Sammers didn’t get to eat snow cones or ride anything. He just had fun stroller-ing, people watching, and blowing silly raspberries at Mommy.
