I recently had the pleasure of taking some senior pictures for Kara, one of our babysitters.

Conveniently, her sister, Kaleigh, is our other babysitter, so I was also able to sneak a few with her and the girls together.

You can see why Ben loves his gorgeous babysitters. If you’d like to see more, you can stop by and see my new website: www.racheleagle.com, a portfolio site for my photography. That’s right…I need another website to maintain
like I’m sure you need another to visit!
How to freak out an almost 4 year old:

Leak breast milk when exiting the shower. (sorry, no pictures!)
(B) Uhhhhh…Mommy? What’s that?
(me) That’s milk. Remember how Mommy feeds Sam milk?
(B) You’d better clean it up. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddy! Mommy spilled milk!
My favorite recent Ben quote:
Ben (to me) “Easy there shooter”
On Tuesday, Ben starts in the 4 year old room at school. This class is much more structured and challenging, and has a male teacher. I think it will be very good for him.

Ben’s new favorite backyard game is collecting berries off a tree to feed the birds:

Ben’s current favorite book: Under the Bed
Ben’s current favorite food: grapes.
Ben’s current favorite color(s): yellow and orange.
Ben’s current favorite motorcycle: Yam -(pronounced like the tuber)- aha
Ben’s newest skill(s): putting on his own socks without a fuss, pumping on the swing, and pedaling his bike.
Ben’s current request:
(B) I’m almost 4. Can we get a 4-wheeler? I am almost 4.
(me) I don’t think so, Buddy. 4-wheelers cost a lot of money.
(B) I have A LOT of monies in my piggie bank, and I’m almost 4. We can use my monies to buy a 4-wheeler.
The thing I hear too many times a day that drives me nuts: I’m stiiiill huuungrrryyyy.

On our long drive from the Soo to Baraga, we made 2 stops: one at the beach and one at Border Grill for Mahi-mahi burritos. It was a gorgeous day for the beach, and Lake Superior was … Read more
