(Shout out to the B&B.)
So, Friday afternoon, Jason said friends Laurie and Jim were having a barn burning, and he thought the kids might like to go. I quickly corrected him and said “Stuff the kids, I want to go!” And so we went. A barn burning is exactly what it sounds like: They had old barns. They had a big fire. They had no more old barns. Actually, the fire department came out and lit and controlled the fires. Adding fire trucks to an already very exciting night. And now, pictures! Read more

Sammy missed most of last week at “school” due to pink eye. Thursday night, he had us really worried when he tripped and fell into the corner of the wall. We kept him up late to watch the swelling and to look for symptoms of a head injury. Luckily, he has his dad’s hard head (I’m sure J would say my hard head). He wasn’t looking so pretty this weekend, but he was feeling fine.

(This was taken at Friday night’s barn burning. Photos from that will be coming later this week.)
Happy Anniversary

Six years ago today, we said our vows in front of our closest friends and family on the shores of Lake Superior. That beautiful day was the start of something even better. I love you, Jason. I would marry you again.

Happy Father’s Day

My Special Daddy, by Ben Eagle
My daddy is the most wonderful daddy in the world.
He is as handsome as a porcupine.
He is as strong as a cat.
He can lift 100lbs and is 7 feet tall.
His favorite food is enchiladas and spaghetti-os.
His favorite activity is making stuff…like dinner.
When Daddy was little like me, he used to watch that show with th cat and the mouse.
I think my Daddy looks funny when he has nothing on.
I know Daddy is really mad when he giggles, because when he gets really mad I tickle him until he giggles and is happy again.
I wish my daddy would play blocks with me everyday.
I would not trade my daddy for a new daddy.

Happy Father’s Day to Jason, and of course, my dad (Larry) and Rod
