Here are a few previously unshared pics of Luke to make up for the lack of pics in the last post!

Not so squishy anymore! (2 months)

Lukie Pookie turned 2 months on Saturday, and today was his doctor’s appointment. The nurse proclaimed him perfect (she may have been referring to his temperature, but try telling me that!), and I agree. He has gotten positively chubby over the past month. One day I woke up and his chicken legs had grown rolls. How did that happen? He’s now 15lb 12 oz and 25.5 inches long–98% for both. The doctor was amazed at the spike in his growth curve. I could only smile.

The nurse walked in to find a smiling, cooing baby. Happy as can be (until the shots). They officially do not get any easier (on Mom). Amazingly, he didn’t start crying until after the 2nd shot and stopped immediately when I picked him up. He’s going to have to be tough to grow up in this house!

Obviously, nursing is going well. Sleeping isn’t too bad either. He wakes about 3-4 times/night to eat. After eating, he goes right back to sleep. The only trouble is getting him to sleep. The little night owl must take after his dad, as sometimes I can’t get him to sleep until after midnight…much past MY bedtime.

In mid-June, Luke rolled over for the first time from my tummy to his back. He has since done it several more times. This week, after 3 leaky diapers in a row, I moved him to size 3 diapers. This solved our problem, but put me into crisis. He’s growing up too fast!

Ben said this week “Momma, I’ll be sad when Lukie grows up. He’s so cute now.” I agree kiddo. I agree.

Sam continues his love affair with “his baby.” He wants to see him first thing in the morning and any other time he can wake him up. “Momma, he’s waking up. He’s wooking at me.” He also has to be on hand to watch every diaper change.

This post definitely needs pictures, but they will have to wait. I’m happy to get words down for now!

PS: For reference, Ben was 16lb 2oz and 26 inches at 2 months. Sam was 13lb 9.5oz 24 inches at 2 months.
